Volunteers work with patients, staff, families, and
visitors in over 30 areas of the hospital. Assignments
range from those with some patient contact to those
with minimal or no patient contact. There are even long-distance
assignments for the enthusiastic but homebound volunteer.
The Volunteer Services Department works very hard to
ensure that the jobs assigned to each volunteer match
closely with their interests and schedule. Take a look!

Admitting
Meet and greet patients and family, administrative
work
Boarder Baby Nursery
Hold, feed, comfort and sing to our babies
Book Cart Couriers
Visit the nursing units and deliver books to patients
Children's Playroom
Play, color, sing, read and comfort our pediatric
patients
Emergency Department
Administrative work, assist staff and patients
as requested, bring food or beverages to patients (with
nurse approval only)
Family Rooms
Bring waiting families beverages or food from
cafeteria, visit with wheel-chair bound patients
Friendly Visitors
Visit patients bedside, chat, read, pray, play
cards or games etc.
