Orthopaedics - Adult Joint Replacement and Reconstruction

The Division performs a variety of replacement and reconstructive services for arthritic joint conditions related to osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis, inflammatory arthropathy, developmental dysplasia, and post-traumatic arthritis.

Procedures utilize novel prostheses, specialized surgical exposures, and the use of bulk bone allografts. The faculty has particular expertise in minimally invasive joint replacements; salvage of infected prostheses; and complex primary and revision surgery of the hip and knee, including those associated with tumors or acetabular fractures.
