Robert Heary, MD
Dr. Robert Heary is an experienced neurosurgeon and
director of the Spine Center at the Neurological Institute
of New Jersey (NINJ). He is an Associate Professor at
UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He is board certified
in Neurological Surgery and received his medical degree
from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
(1986). After completing his residency at UMDNJ - New
Jersey Medical School, Dr. Heary completed a fellowship
at Thomas Jefferson University, PA. His clinical interests
include complex and reconstructive spine surgery, as
well as the treatment of scoliosis.

Mitchell Reiter, MD
Dr. Mitchell Reiter is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic
Surgery at UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School and serves
as Chief of the division of spine surgery. He is board
certified in Orthopaedic surgery and has completed a
fellowship in spinal surgery. His practice consists
entirely of the operative and nonoperative management
of patients with spinal disorders. Dr. Reiter completed
an accelerated six year combined B.S./M.D. program at
the University of Miami. He then received his residency
training in Orthopaedic Surgery at The University of
Miami - Jackson Memorial Hospital followed by a year
of fellowship training in spinal surgery at Emory University
in Atlanta. His interests include adult and pediatric
spinal surgery, biomechanics of spinal fixation, and
he is engaged in research on reducing scar tissue formation
that occurs following spinal operations.

Sanjeev Sabharwal, MD
Dr. Sanjeev Sabharwal handles most of the scoliosis
cases, be they surgical or nonsurgical, for the North
Jersey Orthopaedic Institute. He is an Associate Professor
of Orthopaedics and Pediatrics at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical
School and serves as the Chief , Division of Pediatric
Orthopedics. Dr. Sabharwal completed his residency training
at the University of British Columbia, in, Vancouver,
Canada. He did fellowships at the Los Angeles Children's
& Shriners Hospital, CA as well as Maryland Center
for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction, MD. Dr. Sabharwal
is board certified in Orthopedic surgery and is a member
of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well
as the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.
Dr. Sabharwal's clinical interests include limb lengthening
and scoliosis in children and young adults.

Todd P. Stitik, MD
Dr. Todd Stitik is an Associate Professor of Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation at UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical
School. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation as well as Internal Medicine and Electrodiagnostic
Medicine. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania
School of Medicine (1988), Dr. Stitik completed his
residencies at NYU Medical Center, NY and UMDNJ-New
Jersey Medical School. His clinical interests include
osteoarthritis, electromyography (EMG), general musculoskeletal
medicine, and the nonsurgical treatment of scoliosis.
