Mark S. Granick, M.D. is one of the country's leading
academic plastic surgeons. After receiving a BA Cum
Laude from Cornell University, he attended Harvard Medical
School where he obtained his medical degree in 1977.
Dr. Granick is board certified by the American Board
of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology
- Head and Neck Surgery (ENT).
Dr. Granick did his general surgical training at the
Harvard Surgical Service of the New England Deaconess
Hospital. His interest in facial and head and neck surgery
led him to Harvard's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
where he completed his Otolaryngology Head and Neck
Surgery (ENT) training. In 1982, he moved to Pittsburgh
where he trained in Plastic Surgery at the University
of Pittsburgh. He remained in practice associated with
the University until 1987, when he moved to Philadelphia.
Dr. Granick was recruited by both Hahnemann University
and Medical College of Pennsylvania where he developed
and ran the Plastic Surgery Service as Professor of
Surgery and Chief of Plastic Surgery until April 2001.
He is now Professor of Surgery, Chief of Plastic Surgery,
and Plastic Surgery Residency Program Director at the
University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New
Jersey Medical School.
He is an active member of the American Society of
Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Plastic Surgeons,
the American College of Surgeons, and many other regional
and specialty societies.
Dr. Granick has lectured extensively throughout the
the United States and the World. He has edited seven
textbooks, and authored 90 articles, 45 book chapters,
and many abstracts, posters, and internet publications.
