The Peripheral Nerve Center at University Hospital offers
evaluation services, diagnostic testing, physical therapy,
and if warranted, a highly skilled surgical team, for
patients with peripheral nerve disorders and trauma. No
other medical center in the area has a similar concentrated,
all-inclusive peripheral nerve center that handles all
aspects of peripheral nerve problems. 
Allen H. Maniker, MD
Expertise is important when it comes
to treating peripheral nerve disorders, and the Center
has as its director Dr. Allen H. Maniker, who has extensive
training and experience in this field. A specialist
in peripheral nerve surgery, Dr. Maniker completed post-doctoral
fellowships at Louisiana State University Medical Center
in New Orleans and the University of Washington School
of Medicine in Seattle. Dr. Maniker has particular expertise
in brachial plexus surgery, and is among a small number
of surgeons within this field of interest.

Nizar Souyah, MD
Nizar Souyah, MD is an assistant professor
of Neurosciences and is the director of the division
of peripheral neuropathy at University Hospital/New
Jersey Medical School. He is board certified in both
neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine. Dr. Souyah
completed his residency at Temple University Hospital
in Pennsylvania and a fellowship at Massachusetts General
Hospital.

Peter P. Yonclas, MD
Peter P. Yonclas, MD is an instructor in Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation at the New Jersey Medical
School. He is a 1999 graduate of the school and also
completed his residency there.
