Do you have concerns about the safety and quality of care at The
University Hospital?


We encourage you to voice your concerns to the Patient Advocate Office and Hospital Administration. You may also register your concerns with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) by mail, fax or email. You can provide your name and contact information or submit your concerns anonymously. The University Hospital will not take retaliatory action against patients or employees for reporting quality of care concerns to the Joint Commission.

Joint Commission conducts random surveys to assess healthcare organizations' quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information about such matters may request a public information interview with a Joint Commission field representatives in the event of a random survey. Information presented at the interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process.
