Sanjeev Sabharwal, MD, is Chief, Division of Pediatric
Orthopedics and Associate Professor of Orthopaedics,
New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. Dr.
Sabharwal completed his residency training at the University
of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada. He did pediatric
orthopaedic fellowships at the Los Angeles USC Children's
Hospital and UCLA’s Shriners Hospital for Crippled
Children in California. He then completed an advanced
fellowship in limb lengthening at the Maryland Center
for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction. He is board
certified in orthopedic surgery and is a member of the
American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopaedic
Society of North America and Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction
Society of North America.
Dr Sabharwal’s primary research interests focus
on growth plate issues during limb lengthening. He has
published extensively of the subject of orthopaedic
problems in children and is a sought after speaker on
the subject in the United States and abroad.
Dr Sabharwal is part of the North
Jersey Orthopedic Institute (NJOI), the largest
group of fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons in the
state of New Jersey. These University hospital based
17 orthopedic surgeons treat all aspects of musculoskeletal
disorders. Areas of expertise include complex fractures,
foot and ankle disorders, hand and upper extremity derangements,
musculoskeletal oncology, pediatric orthopedics, spine
disorders, sports injuries and total joint replacement.
