Cytoreductive
surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Cemoperfusion
with doxorubicin HCl liposomes (Doxil) for advanced
gastrointestinal/gynecologic malignancies: a phase I
study.
University Hospital is currently sponsoring a Phase
I trial to determine the safety of Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Cemoperfusion (HIPEC) with a specific type of
widely used chemotherapeutic drug, Doxil. The trial
is evaluating patients with advanced abdominal-only
gastrointestinal or gynecologic malignancies.
