The University Hospital, Newark, NJ

Heartsaver CPR/AED is designed for the lay rescuer who does not have direct patient contact on a daily basis. The certification is valid for two years from successful completion. In order to recertify, the lay rescuer musty enroll in the full course as there is no recertification course. The course time is approximately 4-5hours. When in doubt please contact our office to determine which course may be appropriate.

All University Hospital employees, whom do NOT require certification for his/her job, will be charged $35.00. All non-University Hospital employees will be charged $65.00. Anyone unable to attend the class once they have been scheduled should call to cancel or reschedule 24 hours prior to the class, failure to do so will result in a $30.00 administrative fee. This course is offered by The University Hospital Training Center, an authorized provider of AHA CPR courses. Fees charged do not represent revenue to the AHA or its affiliates.

Course fee without books:

Without Books (books are REQUIRED for the course)

If a student registers for the course, and already has the course material from another course, or purchased the books at another location the fee will be $55.00 for non-employees of The University Hospital. Any registrant who is employed full-time at The University Hospital, and the course is NOT required of your job, will be charged $35.00

If you have the course material, it MUST be brought to the classroom the FIRST day of the course and it must be the most recent published version from the AHA (2010 ECC Standards), 2005 AHA ECC books are NOT valid. Students whom fail to bring the books with them can purchase the material through the CTC the day of the course or they will be ineligible for the course.
