The BLS for Healthcare Provider course is designed for healthcare providers with direct patient contact. Examples include but not limited too; EMT’s, Paramedics, CAN’s, LPN’s, RN’s, PA’s, MD’s etc. The course is approximately 4-5 hours in length and has a written exam at its conclusion. There is a recertification option available for those person(s) whose certificate is still valid. Please look for those dates below.

for all employees that are required to be BLS certified
for their job. All other University Hospital employees
will be charged $30.00. All non-University Hospital
employees be charged $80.00. Anyone unable to attend
the class once they have been scheduled should call
to cancel or reschedule 48 hours prior to the class,
failure to do so will result in a $30.00 administrative fee. This course is offered by The University Hospital
Training Center, an authorized provider of AHA CPR
courses. Fees charged do not represent revenue to
the AHA or its affiliates. |

These Healthcare Provider courses are offered to the community on every
other Saturday in 2008. The fee is $80.00 which includes the manual and
course completion card with an expiration date of (2) years. Fees
charged do not represent revenue to the American Heart Association or
its affiliates. |
The Recertification course can only be taken by those healthcare professionals who have already taken BLS and whose certification will not expire prior to the course being registered for.
