Breast Imaging Services

Fred Palace, MD, FACR
Assistant Clinical Professor

Dr. Palace is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. Dr. Palace received his MD at Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Yale/New Haven Medical Center. Dr. Palace is a past President of the Medical Society of New Jersey and past President of the Radiological Society of New Jersey.

Bokran Won, MD
Assistant Clinical Professor

Bokran Won, M.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology (Breast Imaging) and Director of Breast Imaging and Intervention at NJ Medical School/University Hospital. Dr. Won received her BA from University of Pennsylvania and MD from Hahnemann School of Medicine. She completed a residency in radiology at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey and completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging and Intervention at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Won is a board-certified radiologist and a dedicated breast imager. She is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American Association for Women Radiologists, the Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Won recently participated in the national American College of Radiology Imaging Network-Digital Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial which was funded by National Cancer Institute. Her publications include topics in breast imaging and intervention.

Biopsy/Surgery

Steve H. Kim, MD
Assistant Professor

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. Dr. Kim received his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO and was a Surgical Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He then went on to complete Post-Doctoral Fellowships in the Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and in the Department of Molecular Biology and Pharmacology at Washington University School of Medicine. Board certified in Surgery, Dr. Kim is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Dr. Kim has written numerous articles and co-authored a book on molecular genetics in surgical oncology.

Reconstructive Surgery

Mark S. Granick, MD
Professor

Dr. Granick is Chief of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Professor of Plastic Surgery at New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. Trained at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Granick completed residencies in Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Granick is board certified in both specialties.

He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and many other regional and specialty societies.


Dr. Mona El-Gabry
Assistant Professor

Dr. El-Gabry is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the division of Radation Oncology at New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. She received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. El-Gabry is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dolly Razdan, MD
Assistant Professor

Dr. Razdan is an Assistant Professor of Radiology in the division of Radiation Oncology at New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. She is a board certified radiation oncologist whose areas of special area of interest include gynecology and breast cancer.

Dr. Razdan received her MD from West Virginia University Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Cincinnati. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Medical Oncology

Margarette R.N. Bryan, MD
Assistant Professor

Dr. Bryan is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the division of Medical Oncology/Hematology at New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Bryan received her medical degree at the University of West Indies, Jamaica , completed a residency at DC General Hospital, Washington, DC and was a Fellow at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School.

She is active in many advisory boards on the state and national level including the New Jersey Commission on Cancer Research . A member of the Breast Cancer International Research Group and other professional societies, Dr. Bryan has served as a Principal Investigator and Co-investigator on numerous studies focusing on the treatment of cancer patients.

Lillian F. Pliner
Assistant Professor

Dr. Pliner is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the division of Hematology/Oncology at New Jersey Medical School/The University Hospital. She is board bertified in Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Pliner received her medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and went on to complete her residency at Boston University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at .Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, NY.

Dr. Pliner’s outstanding skills as a physician and compassionate care of her patients were acknowledged by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation who honored her with The Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award.
