Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women today. While early detection is key to increasing survival rates, new treatment regimens for advanced cancer, utilizing various combinations of surgery, chemotherapy, hormone therapy and radiation therapy, are being investigated and brought into clinical practice every day.

The Breast Cancer Program at University Hospital encourages patients to become informed advocates for their own breast health and treatment. Bringing university-level treatment and research to the community, our physicians, nurses, and therapists work with patients and their families to develop treatment plans that respect personal beliefs and values while maximizing positive clinical outcomes.
