|  Thomas M. Jackson, Chair Thom Jackson has over 20 years of legal and financial services expertise, and currently serves as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for EdisonLearning, Inc., the nation's largest education management company. Mr. Jackson has previously served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at MetLife, and as Chief Regulatory Counsel for Prudential Financial. Mr. Jackson also is the former Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the GAB Robins Group of Companies, a group of private equity portfolio companies with operations in over 50 countries. As an experienced chief legal officer, Mr. Jackson has been responsible for managing global legal, regulatory, compliance and risk management activities of the firm. He also has experience negotiating and structuring complex financial instruments, and has completed numerous international acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Jackson received a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and has served on the governing boards of numerous community and civic organizations, including the Morris County United Way, Morris County Urban League, 100 Black Men of New Jersey, Inc., and the Garden State Bar Association. He also participated as a member of a federal Medicare Anti-Fraud Task Force (1988), the Governor Codey's Budget Advisory Task Force (2005), the NJ Health Care Facilities Financing Authority (2006), Governor Corzine's Budget and Re-engineering Government Transition Team (2006), the NJ Finance Committee-Hillary Clinton for President (2008), and the African-American Coalition for Diversity In Government (2008 -2009). Previously, Mr. Jackson served as a member of the National Council of Corporate Directors, and a member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries (2001 to 2005). He is a Co-Founder of the American Association of Independent Claims Professionals, and currently serves as a Board member of the Cavalry Baptist Church of Morristown, NJ. |
